Sep 16: Swinburne University of Technology has announced the Women in Engineering Leadership Scholarship for international students commencing engineering and construction courses in 2027 at its Hawthorn campus. Eligible students will receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the standard duration of their program.

The scholarship is available for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including the Bachelor of Construction Management, Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Construction and Infrastructure Management, Master of Engineering Science and Master of Professional Engineering.
The Scholarship reflects Swinburne’s commitment to supporting women pursuing education and careers in engineering and construction, while helping students build the academic and professional skills needed for their future careers.
International students commencing an eligible course at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus for the first time in 2027 will be considered for the scholarship, subject to meeting the relevant eligibility criteria.
Eligibility: To apply for the Scholarship, a candidate must:
- be an international student and meet the relevant course and scholarship-specific entry requirements.
- not be receiving a Swinburne tuition fee scholarship or any other reduced fee arrangement simultaneously.
- not receive any other tuition fee scholarship or reduced fee arrangement from another organisation at the same time.

How to Apply: Students applying to commence an eligible course for the first time in 2027 at Swinburne University of Technology’s Hawthorn campus will be automatically considered for available international scholarships based on their previous academic performance. Successful applicants will receive a letter of offer confirming admission, which will also indicate if they have been awarded an international scholarship.
