
Noida, May 16: IMS Law College organized the second edition of its Model United Nations Conference, MUN 2026, on Friday. Around 180 students from schools and higher educational institutions across Delhi-NCR participated on the first day of the conference. The event witnessed the presence of IMS Noida Vice President Mr. Chirag Gupta, Advisor Dr. J.K. Sharma, heads of departments, faculty members, and students.
Addressing the participants during the inaugural session, Mr. Chirag Gupta said, “You all are the leaders of tomorrow. Your ideas and vision will shape the future of society in the coming years. Your role in maintaining justice and social balance is extremely important.” He encouraged students to move ahead in life with dedication, hard work, and self-confidence to achieve success. Highlighting the importance of values and culture, he said, “Wearing clothes is civilization, but how we wear them reflects our culture. The path you choose in life and the actions you take entirely depend on your own perspective and personality.”
Speaking to the students, Dr. J.K. Sharma stated that platforms like MUN provide students with an excellent opportunity to develop leadership qualities, communication skills, and logical thinking. He added that such events inspire young minds to become responsible citizens with a deeper understanding of global issues. He further said that IMS Noida continuously strives to provide students not only with academic excellence but also with personality development and practical exposure.
MUN 2026 Convener Dr. Govind Prasad Goyal informed that the two-day conference included various committees such as Lok Sabha, All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM), United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), UNCSW, International Press, IFTF, and IPL Auction House. Students actively participated in discussions on contemporary national and global issues and presented solution-oriented perspectives during the sessions.
