Held under the theme “Build. Automate. Innovate. Win.”, the competition brought together 60 students in the first round, with 26 shortlisted participants advancing to the on-campus grand finale held at Badruka School of Management, Medchal, on September 5, 2026. The finale provided participants an opportunity to move beyond conceptual understanding and demonstrate the practical application of agentic AI through functional solutions.

Aanchal emerged as the winner, securing the first prize of ₹25,000, while Aditya was awarded the second prize of ₹15,000. G. Srinivas secured the third position, receiving ₹10,000. The winners were recognised for the quality, innovation and real-world applicability of their AI-based solutions.

The competition was structured to assess participants across two stages. The first round focused on foundational understanding of artificial intelligence through an online assessment, while the second round moved participants into a hands-on environment where they were challenged to conceptualise, develop and present functional AI agents.

Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Shailesh Rastogi, Dean at Badruka School of Management, said,

“The Agentic AI Competition reflects our belief that the future of AI education cannot be limited to understanding tools and technologies; students must learn to apply them to real problems, make decisions and build solutions that create tangible value. The response from students and the quality of ideas showcased in the finale were encouraging. Initiatives such as these help bridge the gap between classroom learning and the rapidly evolving demands of an AI-enabled business environment.”

The competition forms part of BSM’s broader efforts through the DADT InsightLab to create opportunities for students to engage with emerging technologies through experimentation, problem-solving, and applied learning. Through initiatives like this, BSM continues to strengthen its emphasis on technology-led, experiential and industry-relevant management education, preparing students to navigate a business environment where AI is increasingly moving from an assistive technology to an autonomous decision-making and execution layer.
