July 9: In a landmark partnership, Lava International Limited, India’s homegrown smartphone leader, and Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce, today announced a new smartphone series built for one mission: to put India-built devices in the hands of every online–first buyer. This series marks Lava’s focus on the online segment, a decisive step to cater to the growing online–first consumer. This partnership pairs Lava‘s made in India innovations with Flipkart‘s unmatched digital and on-ground delivery reach.

For 17 years, Lava has built its capability with in-house designing, quality checks and manufacturing to auger India’s technology prowess. With the launch of Lava Virat series, the brand increases its depth to an online heavy approach. Lava‘s online business grew 74% in 2025, and Virat is the series built to strengthen its presence with Flipkart.
