PARK CITY, Utah, June 6 — In an effort to expand safe and effective treatment options for patients historically underserved by aesthetic lasers, Powered by MRP today announced an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with South Korean manufacturer Bluecore Company. The partnership brings Bluecore’s portfolio of aesthetic laser technologies to the United States, including Picore, a picosecond platform, and Iris Pi, a Q-switched system designed to improve treatment outcomes across a broader range of skin types.
For decades, many laser-based skin treatments have carried elevated risks for patients with darker skin tones, limiting access to procedures for concerns such as melasma, resistant pigmentation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Bluecore’s technologies were developed in collaboration with Korean dermatologists and are designed to improve both treatment efficacy and safety, particularly for patients who have historically had fewer treatment options.
“Bluecore’s technology has genuinely opened new possibilities for patients with skin of color,” said Brian Jewkes, subject matter expert at Powered by MRP. “We’re achieving results in resistant pigmentation cases that weren’t feasible with other treatments. Expanding safe, effective treatment options for skin of color patients is one of the most important improvements we can make in aesthetics today, and Bluecore is making that possible.”
As Bluecore’s exclusive U.S. distributor, Powered by MRP will introduce additional platforms from the company’s portfolio throughout 2026, including Trinity, Bluecore’s triple-wavelength diode laser platform; Zen Pro, a CO2 fractional resurfacing system; and Picore Max, the company’s next-generation picosecond technology pending FDA clearance. The expanded portfolio gives U.S. providers access to a broader range of Korean-engineered solutions across pigmentation, rejuvenation, resurfacing and energy-based aesthetic treatments.
