OPPO to launch Find X9s and Find X9 Ultra on May 21 in India

With the Find X9 Series, OPPO continues to strengthen its premium imaging portfolio by combining advanced optics, computational photography, colour science, and video technologies into one seamlessly integrated smartphone camera system.

At the centre of the series sits OPPO’s new-generation Hasselblad Master Camera System and the LUMO Image Engine, OPPO’s proprietary computational imaging platform developed across optics, sensor control, colour science, and image processing. Working in tandem with the camera hardware, the LUMO Image Engine is designed to improve clarity, dynamic range, and noise reduction while maintaining natural tonal balance, refined detail, and true-to-life colour reproduction across photography and video workflows.

The Find X9 Ultra combines OPPO’s new-generation Hasselblad Master Camera System with a 200MP main camera, a 200MP 3x telephoto camera, and a dedicated 50MP 10x optical-zoom telephoto camera engineered for long-range photography and video capture.

At the centre of the system sits OPPO’s industry-first Quintuple Prism Periscope Structure. Light entering the Hasselblad 50MP telephoto lens is reflected five times within the module before reaching the sensor. This internal architecture folds the optical path into a compact 29mm space while effectively increasing the distance light travels. The result is a true 10x optical zoom system that delivers an approximate 230mm equivalent focal length without a proportional increase in module size. The system prioritises optical image capture before computational refinement to reduce reliance on aggressive digital reconstruction at longer focal lengths.

Combined with Sensor Shift and Optical Image Stabilisation, the system is designed to support stable handheld shooting across concerts, sports, travel, and wildlife scenarios.

For video workflows, the Find X9 Ultra supports O-Log2 recording, ACES colour workflows, custom 3D LUT integration, 8K 30fps recording, and 4K 120fps recording across the main and telephoto cameras.

The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform paired with OPPO’s Trinity Engine, delivering sustained performance across high-resolution video recording and demanding creative workloads. To maintain thermal stability during intensive 8K capture and extended shooting sessions, OPPO has equipped the Find X9 Ultra with its next-generation 3D Cryo-velocity Cooling System featuring the industry’s first Encapsulated Thermal Unit and an ultra-thin vapour chamber structure engineered for faster heat dissipation and more stable sustained performance. The device also packs a 7050mAh OPPO Silicon-Carbon battery engineered for extended shooting endurance.

The Find X9s combines a triple 50MP Hasselblad camera system with a slim 7.99mm form factor, dual-video capture capabilities, and AI-powered features through ColorOS 16. The device brings OPPO’s Hasselblad imaging system into a slimmer flagship form factor designed for everyday photography and video creation. It also supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision recording across all cameras, enabling consistent colour and dynamic range across multiple focal lengths.

The Find X9s runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s platform built on a 3nm process. OPPO has paired the chipset with its Trinity Engine and an Advanced Vapour Chamber Cooling System featuring a massive 32,052.5mm² total dissipation area. It’s 21.6% larger than the previous generation which optimises sustained performance, power efficiency, and thermal management during extended photography and video sessions. The device features a 7025mAh OPPO Silicon-Carbon battery.
