Hyderabad, April 28: Magellanic Cloud Limited has announced a strategic joint venture with Rayonix Tech, in partnership with XTEND, to manufacture advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in India. The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening the country’s indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities under the “Make in India” vision.

Valued at approximately usd 11 million, the joint venture will focus on establishing localized manufacturing, testing, and distribution infrastructure to cater to the growing demand for UAV systems from India’s defence and security forces.

The collaboration will leverage XTEND’s advanced autonomous operating system, XOS, as the core software platform for the UAVs. This system enables human-guided autonomy, AI-driven navigation, real-time mission planning, and seamless operational control across multiple domains, enhancing the effectiveness of modern defence operations.

As part of the partnership, Magellanic Cloud will serve as XTEND’s exclusive manufacturing and distribution partner in India for selected UAV platforms, supporting sovereign deployment and strengthening domestic capabilities in defence technology.

XTEND’s portfolio includes a range of tactical drones such as SCORPIO 500 for precision strike operations, SCORPIO 1000 for extended missions, XTENDER for micro-ISR applications, HONEY BADGER for rugged environments, and WOLVERINE for AI-assisted combat scenarios.
