New Delhi, Aug 20: IndiGo passengers faced difficulties booking flights and completing online check-in after the airline’s website and core reservation platform experienced intermittent technical problems on Wednesday.
Several customers reported problems while searching for flights, making bookings and accessing online check-in services. Some users were shown messages such as “No Data Available” while trying to check flight availability.
IndiGo acknowledged that its core reservation platform was facing intermittent issues and said its teams were working with a technology partner to restore the affected services. The airline advised passengers requiring immediate assistance to contact its customer support centre, while those travelling later were asked to try the website or app again after some time.
The disruption also affected web check-in for some passengers, forcing some travellers to seek assistance at airport counters. At Delhi airport, airline staff were reported to be handling check-ins manually, while a few departures experienced delays of more than 30 minutes, although a direct link between those delays and the technical issue was not immediately established.
The incident highlights the growing dependence of airline operations on digital reservation systems, where even temporary technical problems can affect ticket bookings, check-ins and other passenger services.
IndiGo apologised for the inconvenience and said efforts were underway to resolve the issue. The airline has not publicly disclosed the specific technical cause of the disruption or provided a detailed timeline for a complete restoration of all affected services.
