Altinho, May 5: The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, has released the Draft Goa AI Policy 2026 for public review, inviting citizens and stakeholders to share their suggestions within a 15-day consultation window starting today.

The draft policy outlines the state’s vision and roadmap for the development and responsible use of artificial intelligence, positioning Goa as a creative and technology-driven hub aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Developed through consultations with industry experts and academia, the policy focuses on building workforce skills, supporting AI-driven startups and industries, encouraging investments, strengthening governance frameworks, and enhancing digital infrastructure across the state.
Through these initiatives, the Government aims to foster innovation, generate employment opportunities, and drive sustainable economic growth.
The consultation process is open to all stakeholders, including citizens, industry representatives, startups, academic institutions, and civil society members. Public feedback will play a crucial role in shaping a practical, inclusive, and future-ready AI ecosystem for the state.
The Draft Goa AI Policy 2026 is available on the official Goa State Portal and the Goa Online Portal. Stakeholders can submit their feedback via email at dir-dit.goa@nic.in within the consultation period.
Through this initiative, DITE&C seeks to build a robust and inclusive AI ecosystem, ensuring that the benefits of emerging technologies reach all sections of society while promoting innovation across Goa.
