Mumbai, Sept 02: CyberPowerPC India is expanding its focus within the education ecosystem, working with schools, colleges, universities and specialised institutes to help them build technology environments around the actual needs of their students and learning programmes. The company has already been working closely with institutions including Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, and Whistling Woods International, supporting their efforts to equip students with high-performance computing infrastructure for demanding creative and technology-led workflows.

The engagement marks a broader approach from CyberPowerPC India, which is looking to work with educational institutions from the technology planning stage rather than limiting its role to hardware procurement. The company first seeks to understand the learning modules being introduced, the applications students will use and the workloads they are expected to handle, and then recommends a technology setup aligned with those requirements.

For an institution introducing programmes around game development, animation, VFX, filmmaking, 3D design, AI or other computationally intensive disciplines, that could mean identifying where GPU-powered workstations are essential and where standard systems would be sufficient. In some environments, for instance, a lab could combine a high-performance GPU workstation with multiple standard PCs, creating a setup that is aligned to actual usage rather than applying the same configuration across every machine.

This approach is particularly relevant as schools and higher education institutions increasingly look beyond traditional computer labs. According to Niko Partners’ latest India Player Behavior and Market Insights report, female gamers now account for 49% of India’s gaming audience, up from 43% in 2023. The report also found that non-battle-royale mobile games now account for 62.8% of mobile game revenue, compared with 53.2% in June 2023. The changing composition and preferences of India’s gaming audience point towards a wider ecosystem of opportunities across game development, design, storytelling, animation and interactive entertainment.

India’s AVGC sector is expected to create nearly 2 million jobs by 2030, increasing the importance of building an education ecosystem capable of preparing students for these emerging opportunities.
