Delhi, Apr 16: Ambrane, a home-grown consumer electronics brand known for its charging solutions, has introduced India’s first Made-in-India semi-solid battery technology for power banks. Designed for enhanced safety and performance, the technology enables higher energy capacity within the same form factor, while ensuring improved thermal stability and reliability.

Engineered for Indian environmental conditions, where high temperatures and humidity can impact device performance, the semi-solid battery technology addresses these challenges through an advanced heat-resistance mechanism. Built on a partially solidified, gel-like structure, these batteries deliver up to 1.5x higher energy efficiency within the same size or allow for more compact designs without compromising performance.

This advanced architecture significantly reduces the risks associated with conventional lithium-ion batteries, including leakage, overheating, swelling, and fire hazards, while ensuring consistent and stable performance across varying temperature conditions.

Proven in the electric mobility (EV) sector for its safety, non-flammability, and efficiency, this next-generation battery technology is now making its way into consumer electronics.

Commenting on the launch, Ashok Rajpal, Managing Director, Ambrane, said, “At Ambrane, our focus is on making everyday technology safer, more reliable, and better suited to real-world conditions. The introduction of semi-solid battery technology is a significant step in that direction. We are proud to bring this innovation to India’s power bank category, and remain committed to advancing safer and more efficient charging solutions for consumers.”

The company is also exploring partnerships to extend this technology across the industry, alongside the upcoming launch of its own semi-solid battery-powered product lineup.
