Dubai: India’s Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues have been named in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament, celebrating their consistent performances and vital contributions that powered India’s strong run in the competition.

The trio features alongside South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, Marizanne Kapp, and Nadine de Klerk; Australians Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, and Alana King; England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone; and Pakistan’s wicketkeeper Sidra Nawaz. Together, they form a balanced team of world-class batters, bowlers, and all-rounders who shone throughout the tournament.

Mandhana and Wolvaardt, who clashed in the final, lead the opening pair. Meanwhile, Wolvaardt scored 571 runs at 71.37, setting a new tournament record. Mandhana, however, followed closely with 434 runs at 54.25, including a brilliant century against New Zealand.

Rodrigues, batting at number three, was recognized for her unbeaten 127 that sealed India’s place in the final. Meanwhile, Deepti Sharma dominated with the ball, taking 22 wickets, the most in the tournament, including key breakthroughs in the final. Their collective performances were instrumental in India’s strong campaign.

South Africa’s Kapp stood out once again, scoring two half-centuries and taking 12 wickets, including a brilliant 5/20 against England in the semi-final. Her teammate Nadine de Klerk impressed as well, smashing an unbeaten 84 off 54 balls against India and contributing with nine wickets, showcasing her all-round talent.

From Australia, Alana King and Annabel Sutherland made the cut. King delivered a record-breaking 7/18 against South Africa — the best figures in Women’s World Cup history. Sutherland took 17 wickets and scored a crucial 98 not out against England, partnering Ashleigh Gardner, who hit two centuries and added seven wickets to her name.

England’s Sophie Ecclestone finished with 16 wickets, while captain Nat Sciver-Brunt contributed 262 runs and nine wickets, earning the 12th player slot.
