Kundli, July 29: TDI Infrastructure has accelerated its Green Legacy Initiative at TDI City – Kundli, with a vision to plant over 16,000 trees across the integrated township. The initiative reflects the commitment to creating healthier, greener and more sustainable urban communities. Having already planted over 3,000 trees, the ongoing plantation drive marks a significant step towards strengthening the township’s long-term ecological resilience.
The initiative has been designed to improve air quality, reduce ambient temperatures, enhance biodiversity and create expansive green spaces for residents. A carefully curated mix of Neem, Chukrasia, Gulmohar, Arjun, Golden Shower and Spanish Cherry have been selected for its environmental benefits, including carbon sequestration, oxygen generation, pollution mitigation and year-round greenery.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Akshay Taneja, CEO, TDI Infrastructure said,

Upon completion, the plantation drive will comprise 16,768 trees, creating a robust green ecosystem that enhances the township’s landscape while delivering long-term environmental and community benefits. The plantation will contribute to improved air quality through carbon absorption and pollutant filtration, help mitigate the urban heat island effect by lowering ambient temperatures, strengthen soil conservation, reduce dust and noise pollution, and support local biodiversity by attracting birds, butterflies and other pollinators.
