Bhubaneswar, August 14, 2026: Students and teachers in Bhubaneswar came together with enthusiasm as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign, spreading messages of patriotism, national unity, peace and harmony ahead of Independence Day.
The participation reflected the campaign’s wider objective of encouraging citizens, particularly young people, to develop a stronger connection with the national flag and the values it represents. The 2026 campaign is being observed from August 9 to 17 across the country.
Educational institutions have played an important role in taking the initiative to communities, with students using rallies, awareness activities and creative programmes to encourage wider public participation. In Odisha, the campaign has also been supported through activities involving students and educational institutions.
The Bhubaneswar participation highlighted how schools and colleges can serve as platforms for nurturing civic responsibility among young citizens. Through the spirit of #HarGharTiranga, students and teachers urged communities to celebrate the Tricolour with pride while reinforcing the ideals of unity, peace and harmony.
With Independence Day approaching, such initiatives are adding a strong sense of collective participation to the celebrations across Odisha and the country.
