Being a mother is challenging, but being a working mother adds another layer of difficulty, balancing home and work. Yet, some manage it with finesse, and actress Sangita Ghosh is one of them. Sangita Ghosh shared, “Being a mother has taught me patience, unconditional love, and the importance of being present. My daughter is my world, and I strive to be a positive role model for her, just as my family has been for me.”

She added, “Growing up, I was never restricted from pursuing my passions. I had a supportive family that encouraged me to follow my interests and dreams. I’ve always believed that achieving your goals is essential, and with the backing of loved ones, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.”

Sangita plays Saroj, the stepmother of the lead character Gagan (Sahil Uppal) in Sun Neo’s Saajha Sindoor. Her character is quite negative, a stark contrast to her nurturing and positive real-life personality.

Sharing her initial mixed feelings about joining the show, Sangita revealed, “When I was told that I had to play an antagonist, I was in two minds. There was a lot of back and forth, but again, just because it was a negative role was not the reason, but a lot of things, like thinking about my daughter, I had to leave her in Jaipur and travel to Mumbai. I wanted the role to be worth it for me to leave my daughter and travel. I had immense trust in the team and so I went along.”

Saajha Sindoor follows Phooli (Stuti Goyal), a young woman deemed an unmarried widow after her groom dies on their wedding day. As Phooli navigates the trials of her fate, viewers are left wondering how destiny will shape her journey and those around her. With a stellar cast, including Sangita Ghosh, Sahil Uppal, Neelu Vaghela, and Krutika Desai in pivotal roles, the show promises a enticing portrayal of emotions and relationships amidst the grandeur of Rajasthan’s aristocracy.

Tune in to Sun Neo to catch the show, airing every Monday to Saturday at 8:00 PM
