Hyderabad, June 22: The Telangana Junior Basketball League (TJBL), currently underway at the Vijayabhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium (KVRIS), Yousufguda, Hyderabad, witnessed another exciting day of competition on Sunday, with young basketball players displaying exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship.
The league, which is being organized to identify and nurture young basketball talent across Telangana, will continue until June 28, with matches being played daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
In the Under-15 Girls category, Nizam Royals edged past Hyderabad Hurricanes in a closely contested encounter to register a narrow 56-53 victory.
In the Under-15 Boys category, Hyderabad Hurricanes emerged victorious over Ranga Reddy Raptors, securing a convincing 78-67 win.
Nalgonda Speed Strikers enjoyed a successful outing, recording victories in both the Under-18 Girls and Under-18 Boys categories. In the girls’ match, they defeated Warangal Stallions 50-24, while in the boys’ contest they overcame Nizam Royals 74-71 in a thrilling encounter.
The league continues to provide a professional platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and gain valuable competitive experience. Enthusiastic participation from players, coaches, franchise owners, and basketball enthusiasts reflects the growing popularity of the sport in Telangana.
