MIC Electronics Strengthens RailTech Footprint with New Central Railway Mandate for Project Expansion

“With increasing focus on smart stations under initiatives like the Amrit Bharat Scheme, we see a significant opportunity to transform how passengers receive real-time information. Our solutions are designed to ensure accuracy, reliability, and seamless communication across stations,” said Rakshit Mathur, CEO, MIC Electronics Ltd.

In parallel, MIC Electronics is also executing a major project under Southern Railway’s Salem Division as part of the Government of India’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The scope includes deployment of integrated Passenger Information Systems across key stations including Tirupattur, Samalpatti, Morappur, Bommidi, and Salem, along with comprehensive annual maintenance support for five years.

As part of the latest approved variation, the Salem project value has been revised upward to approximately ₹6.76 crore, reflecting expanded scope and additional system requirements driven by on-ground execution needs.

These projects involve the deployment of cutting-edge digital display boards, centralized data control systems, telecom infrastructure, and integrated announcement systems designed to deliver seamless, real-time updates to passengers. The initiatives are aligned with Indian Railways’ broader vision of transforming stations into smart, passenger-friendly hubs.

With these developments, MIC Electronics continues to strengthen its footprint in railway modernization, leveraging its expertise in LED display technologies and intelligent communication systems to support India’s rapidly evolving transport infrastructure.
