June 5 : Since opening its doors in 2010 at Khan Market, Mamagoto has become one of India’s most recognisable and beloved pan-Asian dining brands. Known for its playful “Fun Asian” philosophy, bold flavours and vibrant spaces, the restaurant has built a loyal following across the country. As it enters its next chapter, Mamagoto is evolving its identity through refreshed restaurant experiences, an expanded menu and a growing footprint across India.

Mamagoto Unveils Its Biggest Brand Evolution Yet with New Concepts and Rapid Expansion Across India

Leading this new phase is the reopening of Mamagoto at DLF Promenade, New Delhi, the brand’s newest and most immersive expression yet. Reimagined as a celebration of the electric cultural landscape of 1970s Japan and Hong Kong, the restaurant draws inspiration from an era defined by creative experimentation, the rise of J-pop, the iconic photography of Daido Moriyama and the neon-lit streets that shaped Hong Kong’s urban identity. Through its design, atmosphere and storytelling, the space transports diners into a vibrant moment in Asian pop culture while staying rooted in Mamagoto’s signature spirit of fun, discovery and bold flavours.

The DLF Promenade opening reflects the brand’s larger vision of creating destination dining experiences that go beyond food, bringing together culture, design and community in meaningful ways.

Alongside this milestone, Mamagoto has also reopened at Nexus Select Citywalk in New Delhi. The 40-seater restaurant returns in a bold new avatar with refreshed interiors, an expanded menu featuring over 50 new recipes and the introduction of a Japanese konbini-inspired Grab & Go kiosk, a first for the brand. While retaining the long-standing favourites that have defined the Mamagoto experience over the years, the new menu additions bring fresh energy while staying true to the brand’s flavour-forward approach to Asian cuisine.

Meanwhile, the outpost at DLF CyberHub in Gurugram introduces Nomikai, the Japanese tradition of gathering over food and drinks. Designed as a playful, retro interpretation of the mahjong parlours of 1970s Hong Kong, the space celebrates camaraderie and shared experiences, bringing together friends, colleagues and communities over bold Asian flavours.

In Bengaluru, Mamagoto is also making its return with the relaunch of its restaurant in Indiranagar. The menu here introduces over 40 new dishes and drinks inspired by the brand’s culinary explorations across Asia – from the bustling back alleys of Bangkok’s Chinatown to the jazz kissas of Tokyo, bringing a fresh wave of flavours to the city’s dynamic dining scene.

At the same time, the brand continues to expand into new markets, with recent and upcoming openings in Kanpur, Itanagar, Raipur and Coimbatore, further strengthening its presence across both established and emerging culinary destinations in India. Together, these openings and relaunches mark a significant chapter in Mamagoto’s evolution as it continues to redefine the pan-Asian dining experience for a new generation of diners.

Speaking about the brand’s evolution, Rahul Khanna, Co-Founder, Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said:

Mamagoto began in 2010 with just a few tables in Khan Market and an idea to bring playful Asian flavours to India’s dining scene. Since then it has been an incredible journey built on creativity, experimentation and the support of our guests. This next phase allows us to evolve the experience while staying true to the spirit that made Mamagoto special.”

Kabir Suri, Co-Founder & Director, Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., added:

“Asian cuisine continues to evolve in India and diners today are far more curious and adventurous. With this new chapter we’re exploring deeper regional flavours, reimagining our spaces and creating experiences that feel energetic, immersive and unmistakably Mamagoto.”

The expanded menu has been led by Jayanti Duggal, Culinary Head, who has focused on celebrating the diversity of Asian cuisine.

“The idea behind the new menu was to bring together flavours from across Asia while keeping the food vibrant, approachable and fun very much in line with the spirit of Mamagoto,” she said.

With evolving spaces, new menu additions and a growing presence in cities across the country, Mamagoto’s next chapter reflects its continued commitment to bold Asian flavours and spirited, playful dining experiences.
