Asansol, Sep 16: Eastern Coalfields Limited organised a Walkathon on Tuesday to promote awareness and encourage employee participation in Special Campaign 6.0.

The initiative by Pandaveswar Area of company highlighted the importance of cleanliness, collective responsibility and active involvement in achieving the objectives of the national campaign.
The Walkathon was led by Shri Amitava Bhattacharyya, Area General Manager, Pandaveswar Area, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Heads of Departments and employees of the Area. The event served as a platform to sensitise employees on the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and responsible waste management, while reinforcing the message of Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat.
Addressing the participants, Shri Amitava Bhattacharyya emphasised the significance of collective efforts in promoting cleanliness and ensuring active employee involvement in campaign-related activities.
The Walkathon motivated employees to contribute towards maintaining clean surroundings and adopting cleanliness as a regular practice, thereby strengthening the Area’s commitment to the objectives of Special Campaign 6.0.
ECL, through its operational areas spread across West Bengal and Jharkhand, is undertaking awareness, mobilisation and cleanliness-related activities under Special Campaign 6.0. These initiatives aim to motivate employees, promote a culture of cleanliness and efficiency.
