Kolkata, 15th November 2024: CC Saha Ltd, a leading provider of premier hearing impairment solutions, on the occasion of Children’s Day undertook an initiative to foster inclusivity and creativity among hearing-impaired children. The company organised a special acting workshop by Actor-Director-Producer Shri Arindam Sil, tailored to the unique needs of these children.
Speaking about the idea behind the workshop, Mr. Vikram Saha, Director of CC Saha Ltd said that through the art of acting, CC Saha Ltd sought to empower these children, providing them with an avenue to explore their auditory skills and express themselves freely.
“Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where hearing-impaired children can unleash their creativity and develop essential communication skills. We chose Children’s Day for this special workshop because it is essential to make these children feel happy and valued. We believe that performing arts, such as acting, can play a transformative role in the lives of children who have undergone implant surgeries to restore their hearing,” Mr Saha explained.
“We were thrilled to have Mr Arindam Sil join us for this special event,” added Mr Saha. “His dedication to promoting inclusivity aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are confident that his presence must have inspired and motivated the children in attendance. Through this workshop, we aim to help them discover their strengths and unlock their potential in arts, empowering them to express themselves confidently and pursue their passion.”
The workshop featured interactive acting sessions led by the experienced Mr Sil trained in working with children. Additionally, attendees had the unique opportunity to engage with a celebrity guest who shares a passion for empowering children through acting.
The workshop is part of CC Saha Ltd’s ongoing commitment to supporting the hearing-impaired community and promoting accessibility in all aspects of life. By providing innovative solutions and fostering inclusive experiences, the company aims to create a world where everyone can thrive, regardless of their hearing abilities.
According to global studies, 6.3% of Indians have some form of hearing loss. Out of every 1000 children born, 4 are born deaf or hard of hearing. This can have a significant impact on a child’s development and educational achievements. While in advanced countries, over 90% of newborns are typically screened for hearing loss, the figure for newborn hearing screening is practically negligible in India.
