Hyderabad, April 22: Bank of India, one of India’s leading public sector banks, organized a Cyber Fraud Awareness Programme on April 20, 2026 at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Headquarters, New Delhi, aimed at strengthening financial security and digital awareness among CRPF personnel across various zones, sectors, ranges, group centres, battalions, and other institutions.

The initiative focused on equipping personnel with knowledge and tools to identify, prevent, and respond to evolving cyber fraud threats in digital banking and financial transactions.

Leadership Presence and Participation

The programme was chaired by Shri D.S. Negi, Deputy Inspector General (Administration), CRPF, and attended by Shri Vasudev, General Manager, Bank of India, along with senior officials from both organizations.

Focus on Cyber Safety Awareness

Addressing the gathering, Shri D.S. Negi (DIG – Admn, CRPF) expressed gratitude to Bank of India for conducting the awareness initiative. He highlighted that CRPF personnel often manage finances remotely, making them vulnerable to sophisticated cyber frauds.

He emphasized that such programmes play a crucial role in enhancing cybersecurity awareness and safeguarding personnel from financial risks.

Bank of India’s Commitment to Digital Security

Speaking at the event, Shri Vasudev, General Manager, Bank of India, said:

“We are proud to be associated with the CRPF and to conduct this awareness programme. It is our responsibility to ensure that the financial security of personnel is not compromised by cyber criminals. Through this initiative, we aim to empower them to recognize, reject, and report cyber frauds effectively.”

Interactive Knowledge Session

The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where CRPF personnel actively engaged with experts from Bank of India, seeking clarity on cyber fraud prevention and safe digital banking practices.

Rakshak Salary Scheme Collaboration

The initiative builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between CRPF and Bank of India on December 18, 2025, under the Rakshak Salary Scheme.

The scheme is specially designed for Defence and Paramilitary personnel and includes benefits such as tailored banking services and cyber fraud insurance coverage of up to ₹10 lakh.
