Sep 01: Regency Health announced the launch of Kanpur’s largest private hospital, taking its total capacity in the state to over 1,400 beds across 9 healthcare facilities in major cities of Uttar Pradesh.
The latest cutting-edge facility, spanning approximately 4 lakh sq. ft. and adding 475 beds, takes the total capacity of Regency’s Sarvodaya Nagar complex to 775 beds, making it among the largest healthcare facilities in the state.
This significant expansion of advanced healthcare infrastructure in Kanpur was announced today by Dr. Atul Kapoor, Chairman & Managing Director, Regency Health; Dr. Rashmi Kapoor, Director, Regency Health; and Mr. Abhishek Kapoor, CEO, Regency Health, along with the leadership team.
Unveiling the new facility, Dr. Atul Kapoor, Chairman & Managing Director, Regency Health, said,

The new facility adds 9 advanced modular operation theatres and more than 110 ICU beds to Regency Health Kanpur’s existing infrastructure. The overall healthcare complex will now have a combined capacity of 775 beds, 18 advanced modular operation theatres and more than 200 ICU beds. Spread across three towers, the integrated healthcare complex spans approximately 8 lakh sq. ft.
The expanded facility will bring together 200+ specialists trained across India and around the world and 33+ specialities, including Cardiac Sciences, Oncology, Neurosciences, Renal Sciences, Gastro Sciences and Critical Care. This breadth of expertise will enable the facility to address a wider range of specialised medical needs through coordinated clinical care.

The healthcare facility has also been planned around the needs of patients and their families. It will include five-bedded wards, fully automated patient suites, dedicated seating areas for patients and relatives, and a 100-bed night-stay facility for families. Dedicated Priority OPD and speciality-specific OPDs will support focused outpatient care, while the Regency MyCare app will enable appointment bookings and access to online reports.
The critical care infrastructure includes a single-bed ICU model designed around a single-patient approach and dedicated six-bed ICU units for focused monitoring and efficient clinical care. The facility will also include parking for more than 300 vehicles and a 100-seat auditorium, supporting the practical needs of patients, families and healthcare professionals.
The combined Regency Hospitals in Kanpur will ensure greater access to super-speciality and tertiary care for patients from the city, surrounding areas and rural communities, enabling them to access specialised treatment closer to home.
