Two-day academic and clinical platform to spotlight the future of reproductive medicine, AI, genetics, robotic surgery and safer pregnancy outcomes

Thane, Oct 09: Ova Fertility & Women Care, Thane, in association with the Thane Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (TOGS), is set to host Ova Ferticon 2026 on October 10-11, 2026, at Taj Vivanta, Thane. Built around the theme “Making Your Legacy,” the two-day academic conference aims to bring together leading clinicians, embryologists, young doctors and medical students to exchange knowledge, strengthen practical skills and explore the rapidly evolving landscape of reproductive medicine.

With fertility care increasingly extending beyond conception to include implantation, pregnancy management, fetal medicine and safe delivery, Ova Ferticon 2026 seeks to create a platform where different specialities can learn and collaborate across the entire journey from fertility and embryology to fetal medicine, high-risk obstetrics and safe delivery.

The conference will feature experts from across India, including Padma Shri Dr Kamini Rao, who will deliver the Ova Ferticon Oration on “The Art of ART: Evolution, Ethics & Excellence,” along with Dr Satish Tibrewala, Dr Kiran Patole, Dean, Medical College, Nashik, Dr Ashutosh Ajgaonkar, Dr Prakash Mehta -President SMFM (I)- Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine India, Dr Revathi S Rajan Secretary SMFM (I) , Global Chair ISSHP, Dr Cherry Shah, Dr Kanthi Bansal fertility specialist from Surat and several other distinguished faculty members. Local dignitaries and senior members of the medical fraternity, including Dr Rekha Thote, President, TOGS, and Dr Padmaja Samant, HOD, KEM Hospital, are also expected to participate.

A key focus of Ova Ferticon 2026 will be the need to look beyond a positive pregnancy test and address the complete continuum of reproductive care. Sessions will explore subjects including genetics in infertility, recurrent implantation failure, endometrial receptivity, male-factor infertility, oncofertility, embryology, IVF-related medico-legal issues and the transition from assisted reproduction to high-risk pregnancy care.

The conference will also examine emerging developments such as AI in reproductive medicine, advanced embryo assessment, improved laboratory practices, robotic gynaecological surgery and point-of-care testing for preeclampsia. The organisers believe that technology must complement clinical expertise while remaining grounded in validation, ethics and informed patient consent.

Unlike conventional academic conferences that rely primarily on lectures, Ova Ferticon 2026 will place significant emphasis on hands-on, simulation-based learning and skill development.

The programme will feature four specialised workshops covering:

  • Robotic Surgery – hands-on simulator training using the Meril surgical robot

  • Maternal Fetal Medicine (PlGF POC) – point-of-care testing and implementation for preeclampsia

  • Andrology & PRP Preparation – practical laboratory training

  • ICSI and Embryo Biopsy with Validation – hands-on embryology and micromanipulation skills

These workshops are designed to allow clinicians and embryologists to practise techniques in a controlled environment, learn directly from experienced faculty and build greater confidence before applying skills in clinical settings.

Another key highlight will be the launch of “NextGen Reproductive Medicine”, authored by Dr Snehal Kohale, Clinical Director, Ova Fertility & Women Care, and Dr Sangeetha Kumar, Senior Embryologist and IVF Laboratory Manager, Ova Fertility & Women Care.

Published by Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers, the book brings together reproductive biology, endocrinology, molecular science, fertility and implantation biomarkers, infertility and ART, genomics, epigenetics, microbiome, regenerative medicine, emerging technologies, AI, precision medicine and digital health.

The book is intended to provide students and clinicians with a comprehensive perspective on the rapidly changing field of reproductive medicine.Ova Ferticon 2026 will also emphasise the importance of multidisciplinary care once conception occurs. A dedicated session, “Fertility to Fetal Outcome – Team Discussion: Bridging ART and High-Risk Pregnancy,” will address the need for fertility specialists, fetal medicine experts and obstetricians to work together to improve pregnancy outcomes.

The second day will feature a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine Workshop on PlGF Point-of-Care Implementation, organised in association with the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine (India), along with a keynote session on the role of angiogenic biomarkers in preeclampsia management.

The conference will explore how technology and changing patient needs are reshaping reproductive medicine. A dedicated session on “Intelligence That Sees Beyond the Obvious – AI in Reproductive Medicine” will examine how artificial intelligence can support embryo assessment, clinical decision-making, laboratory consistency and treatment planning while reinforcing the importance of clinical oversight and ethical use.

The “From Survival to Parenthood – The Oncofertility Continuum” panel will address fertility preservation for young cancer patients and the importance of counselling patients about egg, embryo, sperm and tissue preservation before cancer treatment begins.

Ova Ferticon 2026 will also mark the launch of the Ova Academic Circle, an ongoing academic initiative designed to continue knowledge exchange beyond the two-day conference. The platform will conduct monthly online clinical sessions featuring case presentations, evidence-based updates and interactive discussions for clinicians, consultants and students.

The monthly programme will cover subjects including fertility preservation, PCOS, endometriosis and infertility, fibroids, male infertility, endometrial receptivity, preeclampsia biomarkers, fetal growth, adolescent gynaecology and menopause and HRT.

Ova Ferticon 2026 to bring together leading fertility, IVF, Embryology and high risk pregnancy experts in Thane

Speaking about the vision behind Ova Ferticon 2026, Dr Snehal Kohale, Clinical Director, Ova Fertility & Women Care, Thane, said: “The vision behind Ova Ferticon is to make high-quality academic learning accessible to the next generation of doctors while ensuring that learning translates into practical clinical skills. Reproductive medicine is no longer limited to achieving a pregnancy. It is about understanding the complete journey from fertility and implantation to pregnancy, fetal health and safe delivery. Through Ova Ferticon, we want to bring specialists together, encourage evidence-based learning and ultimately contribute to better patient care.”

The conference is expected to bring together approximately 200 delegates and 45 faculty members from five cities, creating an opportunity for young doctors, students and experienced practitioners to engage with national experts and learn through scientific presentations, case-based discussions, expert panels and hands-on workshops.

With its focus on practical education, emerging technology and multidisciplinary collaboration, Ova Ferticon 2026 aims to establish itself as an annual academic platform for Maharashtra and India, while its theme, “Making Your Legacy,” reflects the organisers’ larger vision equipping the next generation of doctors to carry knowledge forward and helping patients realise their dream of parenthood.
