New Delhi, June 2 : Jaquar Foundation, along with its implementing CSR partner PHD Family Welfare Foundation is conferred with the ‘CSR Excellence in Community Healthcare’ Award at Sustainability Carnival 2026 held at India Habitat Centre , New Delhi, for its impactful Mobile Medical Van initiative focused on delivering accessible healthcare services to underserved and vulnerable communities. The recognition highlights the Foundation’s sustained commitment towards strengthening grassroots healthcare outreach through doorstep medical assistance across remote, rural, peri-urban, and underserved regions.
The event brought together eminent personalities from government, industry, CSR, healthcare and the development sector to discuss sustainability, social impact and inclusive growth and community development with multiple panel discussions and interactive sessions.
The award was received by Shri Shamsher Kanwar, Head CSR, Jaquar Foundation along with Ms. Sangita Dutta Das, Chief Executive, PHDFWF on behalf of the entire PHDFWF team from the jury members including Mr Asim Khan- CSR Professional, Shri Nikhil Pant in presence of other jury.
Implemented across Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi NCR, and Gujarat, Mobile Medical Van initiative currently operates through 8 Mobile Medical Vans that provide free primary healthcare consultations, diagnostic support, eye and dental care services, medicine distribution, and preventive healthcare awareness directly within communities lacking regular medical access.
Over the last eight years, the initiative has conducted more than 11,200 healthcare camps and impacted over 5.63 lakh beneficiaries across multiple regions. The programme has consistently expanded its reach through specialised healthcare interventions including eye and dental mobile units, child healthcare outreach, and dedicated rural healthcare support in industrial and remote geographies.
The MMV programme was launched in 2018 with the objective of bridging critical healthcare accessibility gaps by taking medical services directly to communities that face barriers in accessing quality and timely healthcare. Since inception, the initiative has steadily scaled its operations and today serves communities across Gurugram, Bhiwadi, Delhi NCR, Noida, Bhachau, Kharoi, and surrounding regions.
Speaking on the recognition, Mr. Kanwar Shamsher Relan, head of Jaquar Foundation said,

The initiative has played a significant role in extending healthcare support to economically vulnerable populations, senior citizens, women, children, migrant communities, and residents of remote locations through regular medical camps and preventive healthcare services.

It also acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the GB Members, PHDFWF team, doctors, para-medic team and partners who continue to work tirelessly to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.
