WESTWOOD, N.J., July 24: Pascack Valley Medical Center is pleased to welcome Michael Piecuch, M.D., a board-certified urologist, to its growing team of specialists. Dr. Piecuch provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions, combining advanced technology with personalized, patient-centered care.
Dr. Piecuch cares for patients with conditions including kidney stones, enlarged prostate (BPH), urinary tract infections, blood in the urine, urinary incontinence, bladder disorders, erectile dysfunction, male reproductive conditions, and cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicles. He also performs advanced diagnostic procedures such as cystoscopy and MRI-fusion prostate biopsies, along with minimally invasive and robotic surgical treatments, no-scalpel vasectomies, bladder Botox injections, and procedures for kidney stones and benign prostate enlargement.
Dr. Piecuch was inspired to pursue medicine by his parents, both physicians, after seeing the fulfillment they found in helping others. He was drawn to urology because it offers innovative treatment options that range from lifestyle modifications and active surveillance to minimally invasive procedures and robotic surgery, allowing many patients to achieve excellent outcomes while minimizing unnecessary treatment. He especially values the long-term relationships he builds with patients as they work together to improve their health and well-being.
Dr. Piecuch earned his Doctor of Medicine degree, from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his residency in urology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Urologic Oncology, Laparoscopy, and Robotic Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
