Chennai, June 18 : Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, one of India’s largest and most trusted eye care chains, has inaugurated its new state-of-the-art eye hospital in Guduvanchery, the emerging suburb of Chennai, marking a significant milestone in strengthening access to advanced eye care. This is the 89th hospital of the group in the state of Tamilnadu.
The 12,000 sq. ft. facility is designed to deliver comprehensive eye care services in a patient-centric environment. It is equipped with Advanced Modular Operation Theatres, cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, a fully integrated opticals and pharmacy section, in a thoughtfully designed calm and serene ambience to enhance patient comfort. A key highlight of the hospital is its Viewing Gallery, which enables patients and caregivers to experience confidence in every step of the treatment process. The clinical team will be led by Dr Arjun D, Senior Ophthalmologist, supported by experienced specialists across cataract, glaucoma, retina, cornea, refractive, and oculoplastic services.
As part of the launch initiative, the hospital is offering free eye consultations until 31st July 2026, encouraging early detection and timely treatment.
The facility was inaugurated by Dr Athiya Agarwal, Director – Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals. Present in the event were the senior leadership from Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, including Dr. Srinivasan G Rao, Regional Head – Clinical Services, Dr Kaladevi Sathish, Zonal Head – Clinical Sevices, and Mr. Nandha Kumar, Senior Vice President – Operations.
