India, Sep 23: DOD – Doctors On Duty is a healthcare startup focused on developing technology-enabled solutions that make healthcare access more convenient, connected and accessible. As part of this vision, DOD has launched its Smart Health Kiosk, an AI-enabled health screening solution designed to bring comprehensive health assessments and digital medical support into an accessible, technology-enabled setup. The kiosk enables users to access more than 75 body parameters and health tests, with health assessments designed to provide quick insights and support a more proactive approach to health monitoring.
The Smart Health Kiosk has been developed on a foundation of medical expertise, with DOD’s founding team comprising Dr. Shrey Srivastav, MBBS, MD, and Dr. Prashant Swarnkar, MBBS, MD. This doctor-led foundation gives the startup a strong medical perspective in developing solutions around real-world healthcare needs and accessibility. By combining clinical understanding with technology, DOD aims to create healthcare solutions that can bring essential health assessment and medical support closer to individuals beyond traditional healthcare settings.
The Smart Health Kiosk is designed to provide users with convenient access to a wide range of preliminary health assessments through a technology-enabled setup. It brings multiple health monitoring capabilities together at a single point of access, helping individuals track important health indicators and become more aware of their overall health. The system is designed to facilitate a comprehensive health check-up within a short time, making preventive health monitoring easier to incorporate into everyday routines. The kiosk also enables users to access a doctor for consultation within approximately two minutes, bringing medical guidance closer to the point of assessment itself.
Depending on the deployment, the kiosk can facilitate assessments including blood pressure, blood glucose, ECG, vision and hearing checks, body composition analysis and lung function assessment, along with other health parameters. The body composition assessment can provide insights into indicators such as body fat, skeletal muscle mass, BMI, visceral fat and basal metabolic rate, while cardiac and lung assessments add further dimensions to preliminary health screening.
The system is also designed to generate an instant digital health report, allowing users to access and understand their health information more conveniently. Its technology-enabled ecosystem can further support personalised nutrition and lifestyle guidance, helping users move from simply measuring health parameters towards gaining actionable insights into their overall wellbeing.
A key component of the initiative is its integration with DOD’s broader digital healthcare ecosystem. Following an initial assessment, users can potentially access telemedicine/video consultations and digital health records, creating a more connected journey between health monitoring and medical support. This integration is intended to bridge the gap between preliminary screening and access to professional medical guidance.
The launch also reflects DOD’s focus on strengthening preventive healthcare by making health monitoring easier to incorporate into everyday life. DOD AI Health Kiosks are currently operational across more than 10 cities in more than five states acrossIndia, including Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Hathin, Lucknow, Bhopal, Nagpur, Mumbai, Thane and Bengaluru. The kiosks can potentially be deployed across workplaces, educational institutions, residential communities, public spaces and other high-footfall locations, giving more people convenient access to health assessments. As part of its broader expansion, DOD also plans to explore additional health pods and booths that can extend this model of accessible screening and consultation across different environments.
Beyond healthcare accessibility, the wider deployment of Smart Health Kiosks could also create local employment opportunities through kiosk operations, healthcare assistance and associated support services. This creates the potential for the initiative to contribute not only to easier healthcare access but also to a larger technology-enabled healthcare ecosystem.
