Pune, July 13: Every year, lakhs of Warkaris embark on the sacred Pandharpur Wari, undertaking a remarkable journey of nearly 300 kilometres in devotion to Lord Vitthal. Standing in solidarity with these devoted pilgrims and reaffirming its commitment to community healthcare, Apollo Hospitals Pune, Shankar Sheth Road, Swargate, organized a dedicated Vari Care Camp to support the health, safety, and well-being of Warkaris throughout their spiritual journey.
As part of the initiative, Apollo Hospitals Pune distributed rain ponchos to help pilgrims stay protected from the monsoon while continuing their yatra. A dedicated medical and health camp was also set up, where Apollo’s team of experienced doctors and healthcare professionals provided free health check-ups, first aid, essential medicines, and medical consultations to Warkaris in need.
Recognizing the physical demands of the pilgrimage, the hospital also distributed health booklets containing important information on personal hygiene, hydration, nutrition, and safety measures, empowering devotees to take better care of their health during the long-distance walk.
