Hyderabad, July 24: As neurological disorders such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and cerebral palsy continue to rise, the demand for highly skilled neurorehabilitation professionals has never been greater.
Addressing this need, Anantha MK Institute of Medical Sciences will organize a Two-Day Hands-on Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) Workshop, on Saturday and Sunday in Anantha Rehabilitation, Chikoti Gardens, Begumpet bringing together physiotherapy students, academicians and practicing clinicians for an intensive, evidence-based training programme in advanced neurological rehabilitation.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr. Chandrashekar, CEO of Ananth Rehabilitation and Dr. Jayashanker Tedla, a renowned expert in neurorehabilitation.
The programme has been designed to strengthen clinical competencies by enabling participants to translate classroom knowledge into effective patient care through extensive practical exposure and supervised hands-on training.
The workshop will cover key areas including the principles of Neuro-Developmental Treatment, neuroplasticity, movement analysis, postural control, motor learning and functional rehabilitation. Participants will receive practical training in neurological patient assessment, therapeutic handling, facilitation techniques, bed mobility, sitting and standing balance, gait training, trunk control, upper-limb rehabilitation and functional movement strategies.
Live clinical demonstrations and case-based discussions will provide participants with practical insights into the rehabilitation of patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.
The organisers Dr.Aachal Goel, PT (PhD), a clinical neuro-physiotherapist and rehabilitation specialist and Head of the Physiotherapy Department at Anantha Rehab said the workshop will focus on developing clinical reasoning, enhancing manual skills and promoting individualized, patient-centred rehabilitation based on scientific evidence.
