Aug 04: Tamil Zee 5 premieres Nooru Saami on 7th August, the emotional family drama directed and written by Sasi, marking the much-awaited reunion of the acclaimed filmmaker with Vijay Antony nearly a decade after Pichaikkaran. Produced by Vijay Antony and Fathima Vijay Antony under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner, the film is now streaming exclusively on Tamil Zee 5 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Nooru Saami stars Vijay Antony, Swasika, Ajay Dhishan, Lijomol Jose, Karunas, Kavya Anil, Balaji Sakthivel and Aruldoss in pivotal roles. Following its successful theatrical run, the film earned appreciation for its emotionally rooted storytelling, powerful performances and its sensitive portrayal of contemporary social themes.
Inspired by true events, the film follows Selvi, a widowed mother who dedicates her life to raising her family, only to find herself confronting deeply rooted societal norms when she chooses to seek companionship later in life. As she faces resistance from those around her, Nooru Saami unfolds as a moving story about motherhood, dignity, acceptance and the courage to embrace happiness despite social judgment.
