Kolkata, Aug 17: Aakash Aath, one of Bengal’s renowned General Entertainment Channels, launched two new mega serials Nal-Damayanti and Nader Nimai.

Aakash Aath Launches Two New Mega Serials Nal-Damayanti & Nader Nimai

The show Nader Nimai brings alive on screen the pious journey, teachings and spiritual awakening of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a Hindu saint, mystic, and religious reformer. The mega serial portrays Shri Chaitanya Prabhu’s preachings of love, devotion, equality and humanity that continues to inspire millions across generations. Whereas the mega serial Nal-Damayanti is an epic tale inspired by one of the most celebrated love stories from the Mahabharata. The serial will narrate the timeless journey of King Nal and Queen Damayanti, whose unwavering love, faith and righteousness help them overcome the forces of evil and destiny.

The mega serial Nader Nimai features actors Ranit Basu, Arian Pratim Maity and Safalya Debnath as Nimai. The ensemble cast also includes Bodhisattwa Majumdar as Advaita Acharya, Adrian Sarkar and Sourit Banerjee as Vishwarup, Soumi Banerjee as Sachi Mata, Arindam Chatterjee as Jagannath, Abhishek Mukherjee as Shribas Pandit, Ankita Das as Malini, Kaustav Chowdhury as Chandrashekhar and Sangeeta Biswas as Sarbojaya.

Whereas the show Nal-Damayanti stars Rishabh Bhowmik as Nal and Rupsa Choudhury as Damayanti in the lead roles. The ensemble cast also includes Gargi Debnath as the Elder Queen, Piyali Das as the Younger Queen, Souptik Chakraborty as King Veersen, Debadrita Bhattacharya as Dakshina, Sharanya Dey as Pushkar, Mayukh Chatterjee as Panchajanya, Aritram Mukherjee as King Bhimsen, Sayantani Mukherjee as Queen Mahadevi, Dalia Debnath as Madanika, Akash Mallick as Sudeb and Kayas Kalim as Kali.

Set in fifteenth-century Nabadwip, a renowned centre of learning, Nader Nimai traces the transformation of the bubbly and playful Nimai Pandit into the revered Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The serial explores his family life, spiritual awakening, struggles, sacrifices and his relentless pursuit of the divine truth, while also depicting the social, cultural and historical landscape of Bengal in the 16th century.

Directed by Sushanta Basu, the research and story of Nader Nimai have been written by Geeta Biswas, screenplay by Writam Ghoshal and Sayan Chowdhury and dialogues are penned by Sayan Chowdhury and Anjan Chakraborty.

Nal-Damayanti follows the extraordinary journey of Prince Nal of Nishadha and Princess Damayanti of Vidarbha, whose destined union is challenged by the evil designs of Kali and Pushkar. Betrayed through a game of dice, Nal loses his kingdom and is forced into exile, while Damayanti’s unwavering devotion becomes the ultimate force that restores her husband, reclaims their kingdom and defeats the dark influence of Kali. The serial presents an inspiring story of love, sacrifice, courage and the enduring power of righteousness.

Directed by Milan Mondal, the research for Nal-Damayanti has been done by Geeta Biswas. The screenplay is written by Moumita Kar Gupta, while the dialogues are penned by Rakesh Ghosh and Mon.

Aakash Aath premieres Nader Nimai from 29th June, 2026, every Monday to Saturday at 7:00 PM. The mega serial Nal-Damayanti is telecasted from 17th August, 2026, every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 pm.
