Jamshedpur, Apr 23: XLRI – Xavier School of Management has announced outstanding achievements by its student teams at the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition (IBESCC) 2026, hosted by Loyola Marymount University.

XLRI Teams Win Top Honours at Global Ethics & Sustainability Competition

 Held in a hybrid format from April 13 to 17, the prestigious competition brought together 59 teams from 41 universities across seven countries, with participation from over 270 students and evaluation by an esteemed global jury. IBESCC is widely recognized as a leading platform for advancing dialogue and solutions in business ethics and sustainability.

Exceptional Performance Across Categories

XLRI teams secured top honours in the Online Division, demonstrating excellence in ethical reasoning, analytical rigor, and sustainability-driven problem-solving.

  • Team A: Nexus Corporation achieved remarkable success, winning both the 25-minute and 10-minute presentation categories, and securing the runners-up position in the 90-second presentation.
  • Team B: BE Consulting and Team C: The Climate Compensators also delivered strong performances, both emerging as runners-up in the 25-minute presentation category.

These achievements were supported by the JRD Tata Foundation for Business Ethics, which played a crucial role in mentoring and preparing the teams. Selected through a rigorous internal process from a pool of 30 teams, the finalists benefited from continuous guidance and structured training to compete at the highest international level.

The competition challenged participants across multiple formats—including detailed case analysis, ethical deep-dives, and rapid sustainability pitches—requiring integrated perspectives spanning ethics, law, finance, and sustainability. XLRI students demonstrated exceptional capability across all formats, reflecting the institute’s strong emphasis on values-based education and real-world application.

This accomplishment further strengthens XLRI’s collaboration with the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability at LMU, underscoring a shared commitment to promoting responsible leadership and sustainable business practices globally.

The success of XLRI teams at IBESCC 2026 reaffirms the institute’s focus on nurturing leaders who combine professional excellence with ethical integrity, contributing meaningfully to global business and societal challenges.
