Kochi, June 5: Marking World Environment Day, Xandari Resorts, a unit of the Muthoot Group, celebrated the occasion with school students with a series of green initiatives. As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, the resorts donated more than 100 plant saplings, created a garden and conducted a workshop on making paper bags from newspapers.

At Xandari Pearl Beach Resort, Mararikulam, 50 tree saplings were donated to St. Augustine School, Mararikulam, in association with the Forest Department. As part of the initiative, students, resort team members, and Forest Department officials came together to create a garden, encouraging greater participation in environmental conservation.
More than 50 saplings were donated to Government High School, Amaravathi, by Cardamom County by Xandari, Thekkady. The initiative also included a paper bag-making workshop from newspapers for women from the nearby communities to encourage sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics and promote environmentally responsible practices.
Xandari Riverscapes also distributed plant saplings to the students of Government High School, Kuppapuram, as part of the World Environment Day initiative.
