Mumbai, July 15: As businesses navigate an increasingly interconnected world shaped by geopolitical shifts, Artificial Intelligence, sustainability and inclusive growth, Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool), Mumbai has designed this year’s NAVARAMBHA 2026 Student Induction Programme (SIP) to equip its incoming PGDM batch (2026–28) with the mindset and competencies needed to thrive in this evolving landscape. Anchored around the theme “विश्वदृष्टि • मेधा संगम • सह–उत्थान – Leading a Human-Centric, Sustainable & Connected World,” the programme blends global perspectives with responsible leadership, preparing students to navigate complex business environments with empathy, innovation and purpose.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool said, “At WeSchool, we believe management education must prepare students not just for the jobs of today, but for a future shaped by Artificial Intelligence, evolving business models and global interconnectedness. NAVARAMBHA 2026 reflects our commitment to nurturing leaders who combine technological competence with human values, critical thinking and adaptability. Such sessions provide students with valuable global perspectives, reinforcing the importance of understanding geopolitics, cross-cultural collaboration and emerging economic realities.”
The programme also featured a leadership session by Dr. Prranav Kulkarni, Founder, DVIJ Consulting, and WeSchool alumnus (PGDM-Retail, 2006–08), who inspired students to embrace consistency, resilience, networking and continuous learning as they embark on their management journey. Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Prranav Kulkarni said, “An MBA is far more than classroom learning, it is about building the mindset, resilience and relationships that shape lifelong success. In today’s AI-driven business landscape, technology can support decision-making, but curiosity, judgement, critical thinking and the ability to ask the right questions will always distinguish future-ready leaders.”
Addressing the students, Mr. Sudhir Shankar Kalkar, Chairman, Member & Chairman, CDC, WeSchool, encouraged them to cultivate self-reflection as a lifelong leadership habit, think globally, continuously build analytical capabilities and remain adaptable in an ever-changing business environment while leading with humility and strong values.
Shri Sunil Joshi, Member Managing Council, S P Mandali Pune and Chairman, College Development Committee, WeSchool, urged students that while professional success is important, lasting leadership is built on self-confidence, integrity, meaningful relationships and the ability to contribute positively to society, while staying connected to family, health and the environment.
Shri Radheshyam Agrawal, Member CDC – WeSchool and Vice Chairman, Managing Council – SP Mandali also inspired the incoming students.
As part of the induction programme, WeSchool also launched “Mitti to Management,” a unique sustainability initiative that encourages future managers to connect environmental stewardship with responsible business leadership. Marking the launch, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, along with the Trustees of WeSchool, planted flowering plants, symbolising the institute’s commitment to nurturing both future leaders and a greener tomorrow. Through this collaborative initiative, students are encouraged to move beyond classroom learning and embrace sustainability through hands-on action, fostering teamwork, environmental responsibility and values aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through NAVARAMBHA 2026, WeSchool continues to provide students with exposure to global thought leaders and accomplished alumni, empowering them to become responsible, future-ready leaders in an increasingly interconnected world.
