May 15: Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences has achieved a remarkable milestone by being ranked first as the best private university in India in the Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings 2026. Furthermore, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences has strengthened its global reputation by ranking 128th out of 929 universities from 36 countries based on key criteria such as teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook.

SIMATS has demonstrated outstanding research performance, achieving a research quality score of 90.7 and its international outlook score of 71.8 reflects strong global engagement, cross-border collaborations and international academic visibility.

Chancellor N.M.Veeraiyan, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences expressed pride in the achievement, stating that this recognition reflects the institution’s unwavering dedication to quality education, impactful research and societal contribution.
