Hyderabad, Apr 22: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Hyderabad campus, its 15th Convocation Ceremony for the School of Business Management (SBM) at the open amphitheatre in Jadcherla, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduating batch.
The ceremony was presided over by Shri Bharat M Sanghvi, Hon’ble Vice President and Trustee of SVKM’s NMIMS, representing the Hon’ble Chancellor. The event was graced by Chief Guest Jaya Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Pharmacy – Retail., and Guest of Honour Sarah Samuel, Senior Manager – Human Resources, Adidas.
The formal proceedings began with the academic procession, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting, invocation, and the NMIMS anthem. The convocation was officially declared open by the presiding officer, marking the commencement of the ceremony.
In his address, Dr. Abhishek Ranjan, Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, emphasized the need for agility, ethical leadership, and continuous upskilling in today’s dynamic business environment. Dr. Suman Naredla, Director, NMIMS Hyderabad, highlighted the institution’s focus on academic rigor, industry alignment, and shaping responsible leaders.
The highlight of the ceremony was the conferral of degrees to the graduating students. The graduates took an oath of professional commitment, followed by a sustainability pledge reinforcing their responsibility toward society and the environment.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of the Dean’s List and awards recognizing excellence among students, faculty, and staff. Guest of Honour Sarah Samuel shared industry perspectives, encouraging students to remain adaptable and purpose-driven.
Delivering the convocation address, Chief Guest Jaya Kumar urged graduates to embrace change, build resilience, and pursue meaningful careers with integrity and innovation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. N Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Registrar, NMIMS Hyderabad campus followed by the National Anthem and the ceremonial recession of the academic procession. The celebrations continued with a group photograph and lunch.
