July 31: Catalyst Lab, a visionary initiative by Narayana Schools, is an immersive, experiential learning environment designed to help students build essential life skills through self-discovery, interactive activities and guided reflection. Inaugurated today at the institution’s Vadavalli Campus in Coimbatore, the first-of-its-kind Mindset Development and Well-being Lab reinforces Narayana Schools’ commitment to holistic education by nurturing confident, compassionate and future-ready individuals. Building on this vision, Narayana Schools plans to establish 20 Catalyst Labs across its campuses during the current academic year, extending the initiative to benefit students across the country.
The Catalyst Lab was inaugurated by Thiru Rajmohan, Hon’ble Minister for School Education, Tamil Development, Information & Publicity, Government of Tamil Nadu, in the presence of Thiru V. Sampath Kumar, Minister for Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu; Thirumathi Kanimozhi Santhosh, Hon’ble Member of the Legislative Assembly, Coimbatore; and Ms. Sharani Ponguru, Director, Narayana Educational Institutions.
Designed, as a part of the soft skills programme, for students from Grades 4 to 12, the Catalyst Lab offers a safe, inspiring and engaging environment built around four transformational zones: Resilience, Perseverance, Reflection and Gratitude. Through immersive, activity-based experiences, students learn to manage stress, overcome challenges with confidence, set meaningful goals, cultivate a growth mindset, practise mindfulness and self-reflection, and develop a positive outlook rooted in gratitude. The programme also encourages students to envision their aspirations, strengthen emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork and self-awareness, while building the character, courage and confidence needed to realise their full potential.
Beyond enriching the student experience, the Catalyst Lab also equips educators with innovative engagement tools and encourages meaningful parental involvement, creating a collaborative ecosystem that supports every child’s holistic growth and prepares them to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
