
Gurugram, June 26: Marking the occasion of International Yoga Day, KIIT World School organized an inspiring yoga session aimed at promoting physical well-being, mental resilience, and holistic development among students and staff. The session was led by renowned yoga expert Acharya Joginder Singh, Founder of My Yoga Guru, who attended the event as the chief guest.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the school‘s Principal, Dr. Neelima Kamrah, who felicitated the chief guest with a sapling, symbolising growth, sustainability, and good health.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kamrah emphasized that yoga is much more than a physical exercise. She described it as a timeless practice that nurtures harmony between the mind, body, and spirit while helping individuals develop emotional balance and inner strength.
“In today’s fast-paced world, it is important for children to cultivate habits that support both physical and mental well-being. Regular yoga practice helps improve concentration, discipline, confidence, and emotional stability, making it an essential part of a healthy lifestyle,” she said.
During the interactive session, Acharya Joginder Singh guided students and teachers through a series of yoga asanas, pranayama techniques, meditation practices, and stress-management exercises. He also explained the scientific significance of various yoga postures and highlighted how consistent practice can improve flexibility, boost immunity, reduce stress, and promote overall wellness.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, who actively engaged in the exercises and gained valuable insights into incorporating yoga into their daily routines.
Concluding the programme, students collectively pledged to make yoga an integral part of their everyday lives.
