Navi Mumbai, Sep 01: At ITM Business School, MBA iConnect continues to move beyond a lecture-heavy model as the curriculum incorporates extended internships, global immersion and industry mentorship into every stage of the student journey. The program helps graduates develop extensive skillsets and exposure in two years, with a degree becoming one of the inclusions in their overall portfolio.
From their very first day, students receive a personal MacBook and gain access to dedicated learning initiatives such as the Applied AI Lab and Corporate Performance Lab. The program’s employability backbone includes a five-month paid industry internship, a two-week NGO internship, 35+ professional certifications and live business projects.
These are not generic certifications. Each one is mapped to a student’s chosen specialisation and globally recognised within its industry. An International Business student earns a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from KPMG along with Customs Procedure and EXIM Finance Management from the World Trade Center. A Financial Services student completes NISM Series V-A and XV along with CISI Affiliate Membership from the UK, opening access to 300+ global refresher courses. An HR student earns an HR Analytics certification from EY, and a Finance student completes a Certified BFSI Professional course from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance. Operations students take a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and SAP Materials Management certification, while Digital Marketing students earn credentials across Google and Meta, spanning all ten specialisations.
Certifications aren’t the only place where industry meets the classroom. The Corporate Performance Lab also bridges the gap between what students learn and what employers expect. This happens through simulated business environments, live case challenges and performance-based assessments that let students practice decision-making and client interaction under real workplace conditions.
This is backed by ITM’s broader iConnect approach, bringing industry exposure through guest lectures, mentor-mentee pairings and panel discussions with practitioners.
Complementing this is TALEWIND, a dedicated soft skills department, delivering over 300 hours of training on placement readiness, industry networking and career support, covering resume and personal brand building, grooming and body language, business etiquette, group discussions, interview skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
Beyond academics, the campus calendar stays packed with cultural fests, technical events, business competitions and community initiatives, giving students space to build networks and practise workplace-ready leadership skills.
The program’s Global Immersion Programme takes students to Dubai, Singapore and Europe, partnering with institutions such as James Cook University Singapore, the University of Dubai, Skyline University College Sharjah, ESSCA School of Management, and IESEG School of Management, with visits to global organisations including Apple, Nasdaq Dubai, Decathlon France, and Flex Budapest.
Speaking on the program, Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Pro Vice Chancellor, ITM Business School, said,
“MBA iConnect exists because classroom learning alone can no longer prepare students for today’s business landscape. By combining industry certifications, extended internships, global immersion, with continuous mentorship and a hustle oriented campus life, we are ensuring our graduates enter the workforce with needed skills, a global outlook, and the confidence to contribute from day one.”With students securing international placements and top packages reaching 21 LPA on campus, ITM Business School continues to position itself at the forefront of experiential management education, where every certification, workshop, and immersion trip is designed to convert classroom ambition into career-ready capability.
