Navi Mumbai, Aug 06: ITM Business School is redefining undergraduate management education with BBA iConnect, India’s only skill-based BBA programme designed to prepare students for the workplace through experiential learning. Approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the programme combines live projects, internships, industry exposure and professional certifications to develop graduates who are ready to contribute from day one.

Unlike conventional BBA programmes that focus primarily on classroom instruction and examinations, BBA iConnect assesses students through live projects and practical applications each semester. From the second year, students specialise in Business Analytics, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, or Finance and Banking while completing 10 live projects in their chosen domain. The curriculum also integrates AI tools, recruiter-led workshops, case studies and mentorship from industry-experienced faculty.

Classroom learning is reinforced through industry exposure across multiple sectors. Students study retail operations at Decathlon’s Belapur outlet, manufacturing and quality systems at Godrej & Boyce’s Vikhroli plant, export processes at Ram Exports, and FMCG cold-chain logistics at Amul’s Virar processing unit. These visits provide first-hand exposure to retail, manufacturing, exports and dairy operations before graduation.

International immersion further broadens students’ business perspective. In Singapore, students visit the Apple Innovation Center, Hyundai Innovation Center, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, and Pacific Light to understand innovation, smart manufacturing, global logistics and sustainable energy practices. With six international and eight national industry visits built into the BBA iConnect programme, students experience how businesses operate beyond the classroom.

The programme includes a six-month paid industry internship, a two-week NGO internship and a three-month capstone project. Students also receive more than 20 professional certifications at no additional cost, over 300 hours of soft-skills and placement training, personalised mentoring, two foreign languages, international immersion programmes, access to an on-campus start-up incubator with seed funding of up to ₹1 crore, and a MacBook Air to support digital learning.

Students also receive more than 20 professional certifications at no additional cost, including SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate, Google Analytics 4, and Building Modern Python App on AWS, equipping them with industry-recognised credentials.

“Skill-based education changes a graduate’s first job because students begin their careers with proven experience, professional confidence, and the ability to solve real business challenges. Our BBA students undergo a six-month paid internship, which changes how employers view their ability to create value from the outset. BBA iConnect is designed to build those capabilities,” said Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Pro Vice Chancellor, ITM Skills University.

The programme also offers 100% placement assistance backed by a network of over 700 companies. Ranked 19th in India in the Times Annual B-Schools Ranking Survey 2024, ITM Business School continues to strengthen its focus on industry-driven education, preparing graduates with the practical skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment.

Admissions for the current academic cycle are now in the final phase. Interested students are encouraged to apply soon to secure their place in the programme before applications close.
