The Institution of Valuers Head Office Delhi, successfully organized Founder’s Day 2026 in New Delhi to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Shri P. C. Goel Ji, Founder and visionary of the valuation profession in India.

The programme witnessed the august presence of senior dignitaries, IOV Council Members from across India, and distinguished guests including Shri K. C. Mittal, Senior High Court Advocate; Dr. Rajiv Kishore Dubey, Former CMD, Canara Bank; Mr. B. Sankaranarayanan, General Manager, IBBI; Mr. Nirmal Kumar Bhagat, Director, CM & Training, NITI Aayog; Adv. (CA) Prakash Sinha, Partner, Finjuris LLP; Mr. Harish Kumar, Senior Partner, Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, India; along with members of the valuation fraternity.

The event was followed by a tribute to Shri P. C. Goel Ji, honouring his monumental contribution to the establishment and strengthening of the valuation profession in India. A major highlight of the event was the launch of the biography video of Shri P. C. Goel Ji, which showcased his inspiring journey, vision, and lifelong dedication to the profession. The screening received wide appreciation and was followed by an emotional and reflective session.

A series of important discussions and deliberations were held during the programme, focusing on “The Need for a Unified Regulatory and Institutional Framework for the Valuation Profession” and “Capacity Building in the Evolving Valuation Ecosystem: Emerging Frontiers and New Opportunities.”

The dignitaries and participants were felicitated with a customised poem, reflecting the role of valuation in India through the visionary leadership of Shri P. C. Goel Ji. IOV also expressed sincere gratitude for their contributions to the P. C. Goel Memorial Fund, acknowledging their generous support in preserving his legacy and keeping his vision alive in collective memory.

The event also witnessed the announcement of the 57th Indian Valuers Congress, the flagship annual event of IOV, which will be held in Jaipur from 3rd to 5th December 2026, to deliberate on “New Tech-Enabled Valuation: Driven by Skills, Defined by Standards.”

The event further featured the launch of several key publications, including the Yuva Valuers Bulletin, Handbook on Enterprise Valuation, and a compilation of excerpts from case laws and judgments for best professional practices in valuation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming IOV’s commitment to advancing the valuation profession and preserving the enduring legacy of its Founder for future generations, along with the updated tagline from “Pioneering Institution in Valuation since 1968” to “Upholding Trust and Establishing Standards since 1968.
