IMS Noida Organizes Yoga Workshop to Promote Physical and Mental Well-being

Noida, June 19:  Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Noida organized a Yoga Workshop at its Sector-62 campus to mark the spirit of wellness and holistic development. The session was conducted by renowned Yoga Trainer Vaishali Gautam, who guided participants through Surya Namaskar, yoga asanas, meditation, physical exercises, and pranayama.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff of the institute. Akash Sharma, Gold Medalist at the World Yogasana Championship 2026, was also present during the event and encouraged participants to embrace yoga as an integral part of their daily lives.

The session commenced with the chanting of “Om” followed by Surya Namaskar. Addressing the participants, Vaishali Gautam emphasized the importance of maintaining both physical and mental health for a balanced life. She stated that yoga helps individuals overcome stress and anxiety while paving the way for spiritual empowerment. According to her, spiritual awareness enables people to move away from negativity and cultivate positive thoughts and attitudes.

Appreciating the initiative, Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President, IMS Noida, said, “In today’s fast-paced world, yoga is a powerful practice that strengthens individuals from within. Such initiatives play a crucial role in the holistic development of our students and help them lead healthier and more balanced lives.”

Congratulating the participants for taking part in the Yoga Day activities, Akash Sharma highlighted the significance of physical and mental fitness. He remarked that a healthy body and a healthy mind are essential for a happy and successful life, and yoga serves as an effective medium to achieve both.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Reena Massey, Head of IMS Sports Club and Coordinator of the Workshop, explained that every yoga posture and movement has specific guidelines that should be followed carefully. She encouraged participants to practice yoga regularly, even from the comfort of their homes, while adhering to the correct techniques. She further noted that yoga enhances immunity, improves overall well-being, and provides renewed energy and vitality.

The workshop concluded on a positive note with participants expressing their commitment to adopting yoga as a part of their daily routine for a healthier and more mindful lifestyle.
