IMS Noida Hosts Principal Meet on NEP-2020 and Future-Ready Education

Noida, May 11: IMS Noida organized “Principal Meet 2026” at its Sector-62 campus, bringing together more than 100 school principals, academicians, and education experts from Delhi, Faridabad, Meerut, Punjab, Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad. The event focused on various aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP2020) and strengthening academic collaboration between schools and higher educational institutions.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President of IMS Noida, said that education based solely on academic scores is no longer sufficient in today’s rapidly evolving world. He emphasized the importance of technical knowledge, skill development, and practical learning in shaping students’ futures. He further highlighted that teachers play a crucial role in the holistic development of students and stated that Artificial Intelligence is set to bring transformative changes in the education sector. Therefore, integrating students with new technologies and digital learning has become the need of the hour.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Sharma, Advisor at IMS Noida, said that innovation, technology, and skill development are essential to prepare students for future challenges and opportunities. He stressed the need to promote skill-based education, digital learning, communication skills, and personality development alongside academic excellence. He added that the objective of the National Education Policy is not only to prepare students for examinations but also to equip them with practical knowledge and employability skills.

During the event, educationists and experts discussed future challenges and emerging opportunities in the education sector. Key deliberations focused on skill-based learning, creative education models, digital learning, and holistic student development under NEP2020. Participants emphasized that students today require not only theoretical knowledge but also practical exposure and industry-oriented skills to succeed in a competitive environment.

The programme also highlighted the importance of innovation, technology integration, and stronger academic coordination among educational institutions to create a progressive and futureready learning ecosystem.
