Noida, June 12: IMS Noida, Sector-62, organized a Career Counselling Session during which meritorious students were felicitated for their academic excellence. More than 300 students from across Delhi-NCR participated in the session and gained valuable insights into emerging higher education opportunities and career prospects. The event was attended by Class 12 graduates along with their parents, teachers, and school principals.

Mr.Lokesh Vashisth, the coordinator of the programme, informed that students from several educational institutions, including Divine Educational Institute, Maa Saraswati Institute, and Kalpa Public School, participated in the session. He stated that the objective of the programme was to familiarize students with the evolving landscape of higher education, emerging career options, and the current requirements of the industry, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future.
Addressing the gathering on new opportunities in higher education, Prof. Dr. M.K.V. Nair, Dean, IMS Design and Innovation Academy (DIA), emphasized that in today’s competitive environment, obtaining a degree alone is not sufficient. Students must align their career choices with their interests, capabilities, and the changing demands of the industry. He highlighted that higher education serves as a powerful medium for connecting young minds with knowledge, skills, and innovation, preparing them to face future challenges effectively.
Prof. Nair further noted that sectors such as design, technology, management, digital media, and entrepreneurship are witnessing rapid growth and creating diverse career opportunities. He encouraged students to move beyond conventional career choices and explore emerging fields. He also stressed that proper guidance, practical learning, and skill development are essential for achieving long-term career success.
During the session, experts provided detailed information on various higher education pathways, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and professional courses that are expected to remain in high demand in the future. Students actively interacted with the experts and sought guidance on their career-related queries, which were addressed comprehensively.
The programme concluded with the presentation of the Achievers Award to meritorious students in recognition of their outstanding performance and dedication, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in their academic and professional journeys.
