Noida, May : Award-winning still photographer Dr. Latika Nath joins AAFT as the Industry Dean of the School of Photography, bringing with her over thirty years of experience in the field. 

AAFT School of Photography Welcomes Celebrated Still Photographer Dr. Latika Nath as Industry Dean

She is recognized globally for her visual storytelling skills, with her entire career dedicated to framing riveting images of wildlife and landscapes that highlight the critical issues of human–animal conflict and wildlife conservation. Her work has been published across leading global media platforms and exhibited worldwide, earning her recognition as one of the most outstanding figures in wildlife photography. In her new role at AAFT, she will guide future generations of photographers to develop the same depth, discipline, and responsible storytelling that her career is rooted in.    

Honoured as the “Tiger Princess of India” by National Geographic for her seminal work in tiger conservation, she has numerous prestigious awards and honours to her name. They include the Karamveer Puraskar in 2019, the Woman Icon Leader for India title in 2023, and a place among Asia’s 100 Women Power Leaders the very same year.

She is also a Chevening Scholar, an Oxford & Cambridge Society of India Awardee, and has represented notable photography brands as Brand Ambassador for Leica Cameras and a Nikon Expert.

As Industry Dean at AAFT, Dr. Nath will take up a hands-on role in designing the curriculum to improve the pedagogy. She will work closely with the students and the faculty to ensure that the education is in line with the current trends and demands of the industry, enabling them to be industry-ready. She will also share her real-world insights from her expansive field experience through masterclasses. Additionally, she will be leading industry exposure initiatives, creating opportunities for the students to network and grow professionally. Her guidance will ensure that the graduates have the skills, perspective, and responsibility necessary to use still photography to tell powerful stories that can change the world.
