16th September 2026: Miraggio, one of India’s fastest growing accessories brands, unveiled its A/W ’26 collection on September 10 at IF.BE, Fort, Mumbai, bringing together friends of the brand, celebrities, media and influencers for an evening that marked a new chapter in the brand’s evolution. More than a collection launch, the experience offered a glimpse into Miraggio’s New Era, with design, music, food and performance coming together to introduce a more distinctive, design-led direction for the brand.
The evening was designed as a gradual introduction to the new world of Miraggio, with the experience unfolding across distinct stages. Guests were first welcomed into the space with live jazz, setting an atmospheric tone as they arrived. Collection inspired pass arounds extended the A/W ’26 story into the food experience, with elements of the collection translated into what guests were served.
The evening then moved into a separate space dedicated to the collection reveal. Here, the new A/W ’26 pieces were displayed alongside a material library that offered guests a closer look at the textures, materials and design elements informing the collection. Rather than simply presenting the finished bags, the space allowed guests to engage with the design process and understand the details behind the new collection.
The reveal itself became the evening’s defining moment. As Rachel Varghese began her performance with the song Feeling Good by Michael Bublé, the spotlight moved dramatically across the room, falling on individual pieces from the collection and revealing them one by one. The interplay of music, light and product turned the unveiling into a theatrical experience, allowing the new design language of A/W ’26 to take centre stage.
Following the reveal, the evening transitioned from discovery to celebration with an after party. Rabab Randhawa took over the decks, while Ryan Sadri performed across the space, bringing an energetic close to the evening.
This progression from arrival and anticipation to discovery, reveal and celebration was central to the experience, reflecting Miraggio’s larger shift towards building a brand that consumers can engage with beyond the product itself.
“A/W ’26 is an important moment for Miraggio because it reflects where we want to take the brand next. We have spent the last few years building a strong foundation around handbags, and now we want Miraggio to be known for its design, its point of view and the world it creates around the product. This new era is about being more ambitious with what we do and how we show up. The launch was a reflection of that thinking. We wanted people to experience the collection rather than simply see it, which is why we thought about every part of the evening, from the jazz and the material library to the reveal, the food and the after party. For us, Miraggio 2.0 is about building a brand that people want to be part of, not just a brand they buy from,” says Mohit Jain, Founder and CEO, Miraggio.
A/W ’26: A Stronger Design Language
A/W ’26 marks a stronger design direction for Miraggio, introducing distinctive silhouettes, signature hardware and a refined colour palette. Developed in collaboration with Korea based creative director Ying Ying Yang, the collection explores the relationship between neutrality and individuality, with black, white and grey creating structure while colour brings personality to each silhouette.
A defining element of the collection is the introduction of the M motif, which appears as a distinctive new mark across select silhouettes and establishes a more recognisable visual identity for the brand. On another set of bags, a sculptural flower rendered in metal brings together softness and structure, while refined ring details add another layer to select designs.
“This collection started with a question: who is the Miraggio girl, and who is she not? Rooting the process in Seoul gave me the space to work that out slowly, mornings in cafés, a walk to clear my head before the next round of mockups. What came out of it is the first pictorial mark Miraggio has ever built a collection around, and a wardrobe for a woman who refuses to be just one thing,” says Ying Ying Yang, the designer behind A/W ’26.
The Designer Behind A/W ’26
Ying Ying Yang trained at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she majored in Product Design, before moving into fashion through internships at an interior design firm, an industrial design studio and the bag design team at Marc Jacobs. She later spent several years as a leather goods designer at Tory Burch, working across handbags, wallets, belts, bag charms, cosmetic bags and phone cases, before starting her own design consultancy.
Her design philosophy centres on “practicality meets play”. For A/W ’26, Yang designed every style from scratch and oversaw its technical execution, working out of Seoul for much of the year to bring a consistent design vision to the collection.
Building Miraggio 2.0
The A/W ’26 launch comes at a defining point in Miraggio’s journey. Founded in 2019 with the ambition of bridging the gap between basic, mass market bags and luxury labels priced beyond reach, the brand has built its proposition around design, functionality and accessible premium pricing. Today, that ambition is expanding into a broader lifestyle universe.
In April 2026, Miraggio launched Got Your Back, a 36 style backpack collection featuring structured silhouettes, laptop compartments and ergonomic straps, bringing the brand’s design approach to a category it felt was under designed for women.
This was followed by Made to Move, an active lifestyle collection spanning a pickleball racket bag, yoga mat carrier, gym duffels and a water bottle crossbody, further expanding Miraggio’s presence beyond traditional handbags.
The brand has also continued to build cultural relevance through collaborations with Shanaya Kapoor and Sharvari, while the FRIENDS x Miraggio collection tapped into one of television’s most enduring cultural properties. With Furever Yours, the brand took a more personal approach, creating hand painted bags featuring customers’ pets and tapping into the emotional world of pet parenting.
Alongside its category expansion, 2026 has also marked Miraggio’s move into physical retail. The brand opened its first standalone store at VR Mall, Chennai, in May, followed by a second at Inorbit Mall, Vashi, in August. A third store at Westend Mall, Pune, is set to open in September, with the brand targeting 10 or more company owned and operated stores by March 2027.
Together, these moves reflect Miraggio’s growing ambition to build a broader lifestyle universe around the modern woman, extending across categories, cultural moments and physical experiences while remaining rooted in design.
A/W ’26 is the clearest expression yet of this evolution. With a stronger design language, a new visual code, an expanding category mix and a more intentional approach to consumer experience, Miraggio is stepping into its next chapter with a clear ambition to become a design-led brand with a distinctive point of view.
