New Delhi, Sep 11: Following up on its stellar Q1 financial performance and its recent National Stock Exchange filing celebrating the 400th store milestone, V2 Retail Ltd. has massively accelerated its offline footprint. The company has opened 24 new stores through August 2026 alone, pushing its nationwide count past the 415-store mark across more than 345 cities. This marks the company’s strongest single month of store openings till date.

V2 Retail has made headlines before for opening several stores in a single day, five once, then six. This time, that same intensity ran through an entire month, turning a single day’s momentum into historic 24 stores by the end of August.
The 24 new stores went live across 11 states, and the spread says a lot about where V2 Retail‘s real growth is happening. Alongside a store in Bangalore, the month’s launches reached far smaller markets too, places like Malkangiri in Odisha and Banka in Bihar, towns that rarely see a branded fashion retailer walk in. Together, these 24 stores added nearly 200,000 sq. ft of retail space to the company’s footprint. With around 40 people employed at each store, August’s expansion alone has created close to 1,000 direct jobs on the ground, contributing to the company’s larger goal of generating over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs a year through its store rollout.
V2 Retail also marked the milestone with a dedicated AI-generated video series, rolled out across its social media handles as part of its ongoing digital-first brand push around the A Bigger V2, Building a Better Bharat” campaign.
Speaking on the numbers, Ram Chandra Agarwal, Founder, V2 Retail Ltd., said,
“We’ve opened stores fast on a single day before, but doing 24 across a full month, in towns as different as Bangalore and Malkangiri, is a different kind of test. It means every part of the system, from real estate to hiring to stock, is firing together across very different markets. That’s the real story here, not just the number. We are building a better Bharat, with a bigger V2.”
Akash Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer, V2 Retail Ltd., added,
“August was about proving we can sustain pace, not just spike it. Following our strong Q1 financial trajectories where revenue surged 58% YoY, we are firmly targeting 170 to 200 new stores this fiscal, largely in Tier-II and Tier-III markets. Crucially, this entire expansion is self-funded through our own internal accruals and cash flows, with no equity dilution. We’re also putting money behind supply chain digitalization to keep up with the pace. Small-town India is where most of this growth is happening.”
