It was a year ago that The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa first unveiled Tangra as its newest signature dining destination, inspired by Kolkata’s legendary Tangra neighbourhood and conceived as a tribute to the cultural and culinary legacy of India’s first Chinatown. More than just a restaurant, Tangra was envisioned as a sensory journey, one where every dish carries a memory of Chinatown’s bustling lanes, smoky kitchens, and the warmth of meals that have brought communities together for generations, brought to life under the culinary direction of Cluster Executive Chef Amit Dash.
Conceptualised around a year of flavour, discovery and the vibrant spirit of Chinatown dining, the anniversary celebration invites guests to revisit the dishes that have defined Tangra’s journey so far, alongside a curated selection of new additions crafted especially for the occasion. Staying true to the restaurant’s distinct Chinatown-inspired identity, Chef Amit and Team Tangra continue to bring together bold, comforting classics with the refined craftsmanship and archival Hakka-style flavours that the restaurant has been known for since its opening.
Guests can look forward to indulging in a specially curated spread featuring Curried Fish Dumplings, Orange Prawns,Dragon Chicken Wings,Sliced Chicken Long Beans and Bacon & Prawn Fried Rice. among other favourites, each reflecting Chef Amit and Team Tangra’s continued exploration of contemporary Chinese cuisine. As part of the celebration, the restaurant will also host a limited pop-up experience alongside the anniversary menu.
