STEMLearn.AI Signs MoU with Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission to Advance AI & Robotics Skilling for the State's Youth

31st August: The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM), Department of Vocational Education & Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and STEMLearn.AI (an initiative of Teevra EduTech Private Limited), Mumbai, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bring Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Machine Learning, and Data Science skilling to the youth of Uttar Pradesh. The MoU was signed on August 15, 2026.

The partnership sets out a shared, long-term commitment to youth skilling, employability, and technology-led education, and is designed to mature across multiple academic cycles rather than a single cohort. It gives UPSDM-affiliated learners, including students under Project Praveen, the Government of Uttar Pradesh initiative focused on strengthening vocational education among secondary school students of Classes 9–12 — sustained, multi-year access to STEMLearn.AI’s – AI, Robotics & Emerging Technologies curricula, digital learning platform, and trainer network.

Under the MoU, UPSDM and STEMLearn.AI will collaborate on:

  • AI & Robotics and trade-specific skilling — foundational and advanced modules in AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Data Science for K-12 students, skilling courses, and undergraduate learners, refreshed annually to track emerging technology.
  • Trade-specific, job-role enablement — AI-integrated modules mapped to NCVT/NSQF frameworks and aligned with the Skill India Mission.
  • Content creation and joint certification with IIIT Allahabad — curricula, digital lesson plans, simulations, and project material aligned with NEP 2020, NCERT, and NCVT/NSQF guidelines, pedagogically validated through the STEMLearn.AI–IIIT Allahabad AI-STEM Innovation Center, with eligibility for joint, co-branded certification.
  • Capacity building and teacher training — recurring Training-of-Trainers and Faculty Development Programs for UPSDM instructors and Project Praveen nodal teachers, supported by an ongoing trainer pipeline from engineering colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
  • Digital learning infrastructure — continuing access to the STEMLearn.AI platform for self-paced learning, hands-on practice, and structured assessment.
  • A national competition pathway — a recurring, year-on-year route for UPSDM and Project Praveen students of Grades 9–12 into the National AI Olympiad and SparkX – AI Challenge, with preparatory workshops and the opportunity for selected students to compete at the SparkX Grand Finale, held live at Techfest, IIT Bombay, alongside exposure to mentors from the IITs and industry.

Shri Pulkit Khare, IAS, Mission Director, UPSDM said  “Uttar Pradesh’s youth are ready to lead in the AI era, and it is our responsibility to give them structured, sustained pathways to do so — not just exposure to technology, but the skills to build careers around it. This partnership with STEMLearn.AI strengthens that pathway for our learners, including students under Project Praveen, and connects them to national platforms like the AI Olympiad and SparkX at IIT Bombay.”

Vivek Varshney, Founder & CEO, STEMLearn.AI stated “This MoU reflects a five-year commitment to the youth of Uttar Pradesh, not a one-time programme. Together with UPSDM, we are building a sustained skilling infrastructure in AI, Robotics, and emerging technologies that reaches learners in Project Praveen schools and skilling centres across the state, backed by the academic rigour of our knowledge partnership with IIIT Allahabad.”

Praveen Gadelli, Co-Founder & Director, STEMLearn.AI said “Every student in Uttar Pradesh deserves a real understanding of AI fluency, literacy and skills, regardless of which district or school they come from. Through this partnership, we’re bringing our AICTE-approved curricula, trainer network, and the SparkX pathway to IIT Bombay directly to UPSDM’s learners — giving them the tools, certification, and national exposure to compete in the AI-era workforce.”

The MoU is structured and lays out the shared terms of the collaboration, with the scope, timelines and deliverables. UPSDM will support learner mobilization, coordination with participating skilling centres and Project Praveen schools, and reasonable access to classroom and ICT infrastructure. STEMLearn.AI will lead curriculum development, platform access, trainer deployment, and coordination of the AI Olympiad and SparkX pathway, in collaboration with IIIT Allahabad and Techfest, IIT Bombay.

The signing was attended by Shri Pulkit Khare, IAS, Mission Director, UPSDM; Vivek Varshney, Founder & CEO, STEMLearn.AI; and Praveen Gadelli, Co-Founder & Director, STEMLearn.AI.
