OAK RIDGE, Tenn., July 6 –Standard Nuclear, Inc. (“Standard Nuclear” or the “Company”), a reactor-agnostic producer of TRISO nuclear fuel, today announced the appointment of Don Moul, former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Tennessee Valley Authority (“TVA”), to its Board of Directors as an independent director.

Don Moul brings nearly 40 years of experience across all areas of power generation and operations. At TVA, the nation’s largest public power provider, he was primarily responsible for power generation, transmission, and power supply, while also overseeing safety, major infrastructure projects, grid modernization, and emergency management. Prior to TVA, Moul served as Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer at NextEra Energy, where he directed the safe and reliable operation of a nuclear fleet spanning seven operating units across five plant sites. He also held a range of senior leadership roles over 15 years at FirstEnergy Corporation, American Electric Power, Duquesne Light Company, GPU Nuclear Corporation, and Public Service Electric & Gas. Moul holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and has earned senior reactor operator certifications at multiple nuclear stations.

“Don Moul has spent his career operating and scaling nuclear infrastructure at the highest levels of the American power sector,” said Kurt Terrani, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Nuclear. “His decades of proven operational leadership and hands-on experience will be invaluable as we look to scale our infrastructure and expand Standard Nuclear’s national footprint.”

“I am honored to join the Board during such a pivotal time for nuclear power,” said Moul. “I have spent my career within the nuclear industry, and I have seen firsthand how critical reliable fuel and strong operational foundations are to power generation. I look forward to contributing to Standard Nuclear’s mission.”

Moul’s appointment reflects Standard Nuclear’s strategic focus on building durable operational expertise into its leadership structure. The Company’s HALEU TRISO fuel supports a new generation of advanced reactors with direct applications across defense, industrial, and commercial programs, including microreactor demonstrations currently underway at U.S. national laboratories. Moul’s utility-scale operational background and his firsthand experience navigating large nuclear organizations will be directly applicable as Standard Nuclear seeks to expand its operational presence in Oak Ridge.
